My Craziest Find
A lot of people say, hey Julie in forty years what’s the craziest “find” you’ve ever come across? Well about fifteen years ago, since you asked, we found ourselves in the basement of an antique store, it belonged to a rabbi*. And no, I’m not making this last part up for effect- it’s all true!
Anyway we were rummaging through his basement and there, we found 3000 paintings of nudes!!!! The paintings were clearly from the 70s, we could tell by the hairstyles, and you know, they were clearly pre-grooming 🤭
The artist signed every painting Tom Sturges. We searched high and low for the artist. We checked death records, military records… He was nowhere to be found. But we snatched up every painting!
They were actually brilliant! But just like all the other crazy finds we’ve come across, we were taking a risk -luckily customers went crazy for these paintings and there wasn’t even one left!! -also how weird would they have looked on the sale shelf at Fishs Eddy 😳
* Don’t pass judgment on the rabbi, he found them in some crazy estate.
