I’m Julie Gaines, the founder of a dish shop on the corner of 19th & Broadway in NYC. Well, it’s more than just dishes…you kind of have to experience it. But this right here is my little corner of our new Fishs Eddy Web Site.

That’s right, more blogging less blabbing … I know, shocker 😬!
But before I start, here’s my story in the worlds tiniest nutshell:

1. Girl (⬅️ that’s me!) meets boy almost 40 years ago. It was in a little antique store on west 15th St.
2. Girl takes her useless art degree, boy takes his knowledge of running a cash register and they open their own shop.
3. girl and boy fall in love, get married and produce a few offspring, one who never stopped crying 😖!
4. For decades girl and boy have more fun than anyone can even imagine! Even though girl gets MS🧑‍🦯➡️ and other challenges happen, girl and boy love every minute doing dishes, together. -rescuing old unused dinnerware made in America, and made for restaurants.
5. Years go by and girl and boy manage to build a very popular business called Fishs Eddy- some would even say, in spite of them themselves.
6. As business grows and things get complicated, boy leaves because he doesn’t want to do dishes anymore 😟. Girl doesn’t want to stop doing dishes, ever.
7. Today Girl is way happy to be working with her same loved Fishs Eddy family-and now new people -growing and evolving without compromising the spirit, soul and sass of Fishs Eddy!
